The problem

Your primary distributor is good. Until they are not.

Most plants have one primary MRO distributor. The relationship is solid. The pricing is fine. Until the day it falls apart in a way that costs you a shift.

The part is in their catalog. Their warehouse is empty.

You order the replacement belt or bearing or fuse. Your account manager says it ships tomorrow. You find out at 4 PM that the local branch is out and the regional warehouse is two days away. The line stays down.

Expediting costs three times the part price.

The distributor will ship priority overnight if you eat the freight surcharge. Now a $40 part costs $250 and you are paying to fix a stockout you did not cause.

Single-source means single point of failure.

Your spec calls out one manufacturer for the bearing. Your distributor carries it. Until the day the manufacturer has a 6-week lead time and your distributor never warned you. You learn this after you order.

Shift expansions blow up procurement velocity.

You added a second shift or a new product line. Now your PPE budget tripled and consumable demand doubled. Your distributor still treats you like a single-shift account and your fulfillment slips.

How we work

Emergency MRO without the emergency price.

When the line is down, you need an answer in minutes, not days. We respond same-hour and ship in 1-2 days. No contracts, no minimums.

01

Send the part list.

SKUs, manufacturer part numbers, photo of the tag, scribbled note from the maintenance lead. Any format works. Plant address goes in the ship-to field.

02

We find the part the same hour.

Line-down emergencies get a stock-and-lead-time answer in minutes. We check multiple suppliers in parallel and come back with the in-stock options ranked for whatever urgency you flagged.

03

Parts ship in 1-2 days.

Stocking SKUs ship same-day from regional warehouses for next-day delivery. Long-lead items get pre-emptive expediting if you flag urgency.

04

One PO, one invoice.

Net-30 on credit review, credit card on smaller orders. Tax exemption certificates honored on file. Returns pre-arranged with credit issued before pickup.

Common scenarios

When plants typically call us.

Line down at 3 AM

Maintenance lead identifies the failed part. Emails our shared inbox with the photo and part number. We quote and ship from the closest in-stock warehouse. Parts on a truck by morning.

Spec'd-part scramble

Engineering changed the spec, the new fastener is single-sourced, your primary does not stock it. We track the part across multiple supplier networks and source it within 2-3 days.

Shift expansion supply ramp

You added a second shift and consumable demand jumped. We pre-position inventory commitments at suppliers for the recurring SKU set and run a standing order on a weekly fill cadence.

PPE refresh cycle

Annual refresh of gloves, glasses, hearing protection, hi-vis across all crews. Single PO, sized assortments per crew, ships to the plant in 2-4 days.

Capex project supplies

Capital line install or expansion needs a different SKU set: heavier-gauge hardware, specialty fasteners, install consumables. We support project-mode procurement alongside the routine MRO flow.

Single-source risk mitigation

You spec one manufacturer for critical wear parts. We pre-identify the second source and qualify alternates so when the primary stocks out you already have a tested substitute ready to order.

FAQ

Common questions from plants.

How fast can you turn around an emergency MRO RFQ?

Within 30 minutes during business hours. Overnight RFQs are quoted by 9 AM Eastern. Line-down emergencies get 15-minute response any time.

Do you carry [specific brand] parts?

We source across multiple distributor networks so we likely have access to the manufacturer you need. Major brands include Bosch, SKF, Timken, Gates, 3M, Honeywell, Bussmann, Kimberly-Clark. Send the part number to confirm.

How do you handle large bulk orders?

Large orders get routed across multiple supplier accounts for best aggregate pricing. We can also commit forward inventory with suppliers if your forecast supports it.

What is your typical lead time on PPE?

Most stocking SKUs ship in 1-2 days from regional warehouses. Specialty respirators or fall-protection assemblies may be 5-7 days from manufacturer.
